How to prepare before a session?
OUTFITS
01
Give yourself plenty of time to sort out your outfits.
Make sure your kids have tried on their outfits before the shoot day so there are no surprises for them.

FULL TUMMIES/SNACKS
02
Make sure everyone has a full tummy before the shoot (no ones ever happy when they’re hungry).
It’s also a good idea to have some snacks and water on hand for the kids. Just try to avoid anything that could stain their clothes—crackers or dried fruit work well and are easy to manage.

TIME
03
Give yourself plenty of time to get ready on the day. This way everyone is usually calm and not in a rush/flustered.
Don’t stress if things don’t go perfectly – I’m here to guide you, and we’ll make it work! My goal is for you to relax and enjoy this time with your loved ones, savouring all the cuddles and joyful moments together.

Advice/tips
What should we wear?
I encourage you and your family to simply be yourselves! These photos are all about capturing your unique personalities and creating memories you’ll cherish for years to come. They’ll hang on your walls, telling the story of who you are in this moment.
When it comes to outfits, earthy tones tend to photograph beautifully—think shades inspired by nature, like clay, beige, tan, dark or light grey, forest green, cream, or soft muted tones. Pastels also work wonderfully.
That said, if you love vibrant colours, go for it! A bold pop—like a beanie, dress, or top—can add a fun touch. Just try to balance it out with denim or neutral pieces to keep the look cohesive.
It’s best to avoid clothing with logos, as they can be distracting in photos. Patterns are great too—just try to limit them to one person in the group to keep things visually harmonious.
Denim is always a timeless choice.
And if we’re shooting at the beach or in your home, no need for shoes—barefoot always looks natural and beautiful!
Maternity Session Specific:
Feel free to bring two outfits if you'd like to switch things up during your session! You might start with a dress or another outfit that covers your bump, then transition to something that highlights your bare belly—or go for a bare belly look the entire time.
Great options for a bare belly include jeans, a skirt, or underwear paired with a bra or bralette and an open shirt or cardigan. A cozy jumper that can be lifted to reveal your bump also works beautifully.
